Sayles has been meeting with both Kiedis and Kiedis’ father as he starts to write the script. “John writes from a real human place, and has already tapped into the relationship between young Anthony and his dad,” Abrams said. The series will be set in 1970s West Hollywood and Los Angeles and include the rockers encountered by Kiedis and his father (who, according to legend, was a drug dealer for the Who and Led Zeppelin, among others).
